Irwin Light Up Night

irwin light up nightIrwin light up night is an event that has been part of traditions for many years! It’s a great way to meet people and see familiar faces. Maybe you’ll know their names or maybe you won’t but either way, everyone is a friend there. Irwin puts so much effort and life into this event, locals know it’s one not to be missed. All of the restaurants cheerfully open their doors to welcome the community. As Main Street shuts down the vendors line up up to host the many that come to see them. Live music will fill the streets with Christmas spirit that will surely get you geared up for the hustle and bustle season. If you’ve been wanting to see The Lamp’s comeback, a story worth checking out, and will play the Polar Express before and after the parade. Get your tickets at the box office ahead of time because they will run out. The big Christmas tree is not forgotten on this occasion and hosts it’s own personal lighting that sets the scene for the parade will begin. Children laugh as the many entertainers make way down the street and parents soak up the children’s happiness. They’d tell you that Irwin puts on one of the best parades for this tradition. After Santa makes his grand debut in the parade he can be found in the S&T Bank lobby for all his little admirers to visit. This year will mark the 37th year and you better believe it is one not to be missed. Don’t forget that additional parking can be in Norwin Hills. If that Hills reference sends your mind straight to popcorn, soft pretzels and coke icee’s then be sure to hit up Main Street for all the sweet treats you could want and sub that icee for a hot cocoa.
